Design samples that allow for precise control of characters down to the pixel level.
These characters are designed with the assumption that the alphabet will be arranged horizontally, so achieving beautiful arrangements of vertical text requires both skill and technique. Some say designers are no longer needed with the advent of AI, but is that really the case?

This is a rare 2005 interview with Chef Kawada of "AU BON VIEUX TEMPS" in Oyamadai, Tokyo, who is still active as of 2023.
Note: This is a reprint of an interview I planned with Mr. Kawada for the employee recruitment page of NTT Com, a Japanese telecommunications company, which I designed. (This site no longer exists.)

I have worked as a creator and a teacher concurrently for many years. At a time when the world is undergoing significant transformations, I believe that it is a social responsibility to impart my wealth of knowledge and experience, backed by technology and design techniques, to many people. Therefore, I have decided to focus on education.
Note:Currently in production. Please wait a while.
What is now commonplace, but what I was one of the first to introduce into Japan's design education, is marketing. It starts with the fundamental question, 'What is a product?' and then proceeds to perform user profiling based on company analysis. Through experiential learning, students acquire knowledge in fields such as color theory, cognitive psychology, and behavioral analysis, which serve as methods for creating content to reach those users. This approach develops essential communication skills and presentation abilities for designers.
The method employed in the Israel-style ultra-elite training program 'Talpiot' is creative thinking. Looking ahead to a future business scene where individuals who can perform tasks that AI cannot replace are said to be the only ones avoiding unemployment, I aim to activate the right brain by using games and other methods to cultivate flexible analytical and creative thinking. In an era where stereotypical ideas cannot ensure survival, I seek to encourage unique and creative thinking. Note: The above statement is strictly related to the 'Talpiot' method, and I maintain a critical stance toward the State of Israel and its military actions.
Many people may not yet realize it, but what can already be seen as the engine of the data-driven society is AI and blockchain.
In this course, I don't delve deeply into the technical aspects but instead focus on how to drive the future society towards the ideal by emphasizing their application in everyday life and business. I aim to expand this into grand themes such as what democracy is and how to confront populism. The purpose is to encourage students to contemplate fundamental concepts.
Because this technology has the potential to trigger the downfall of humanity if mishandled, I deliberately take on the challenge of addressing this issue with utmost seriousness.
