These characters are designed with the assumption that the alphabet will be arranged horizontally, so achieving beautiful arrangements of vertical text requires both skill and technique. Some say designers are no longer needed with the advent of AI, but is that really the case?

My photographs' distinctive feature is turning ordinary, often overlooked objects and landscapes into artistic works through the balance of light and shadow and the uniqueness of composition. This photo, in particular, depicts an ordinary external staircase made of metal and glass, but it becomes an artistic piece through the tones of shadows and the detailed representation of glass and metal.
In my photographs, there may be instances where there is no primary subject, or the primary subject exists to emphasize the background. In this photo, the primary subject is a streetlight, but intentionally blurring it makes the boundary between the sky and the metal in the background ambiguous. This is because what I mainly wanted to capture here was the subtle gradient of the seemingly monotonous sky.
The title of this photograph, "1/5 Second Truth: Portrait of an 18-Year-Old," is a calculated trick I devised to make it appear like a snapshot at first glance. Typically, portraits involve the main subject making eye contact with the camera or having a suitable expression. Photographers usually focus on bringing out the model's expression. but In this case, the model is looking at her smartphone, so it may look like a snapshot rather than a portrait. However, those with knowledge of photography will notice that the background train is blurry, indicating that a tripod was necessary to capture this photo.
Now, you might wonder why I instructed the model to look at her smartphone. The reason is that this is the truth of being 18 years old. I chose her as a model because I saw her edited photos and videos on her social media apps, and I thought she was a very cute girl. I feel that the current trend among young women to post photos and videos that make them look like a completely different person due to app edits is dangerous. So, I wanted to capture her unedited, true self and project the reality of today's youth. Young people in Japan today are constantly looking at their smartphones. That is the truth, and by blurring the background train, I wanted to express the concept of time, the most finite and precious resource, and the shallowness of humans who waste it.

I have worked as a creator and a teacher concurrently for many years. At a time when the world is undergoing significant transformations, I believe that it is a social responsibility to impart my wealth of knowledge and experience, backed by technology and design techniques, to many people. Therefore, I have decided to focus on education.
